SEPTEMBER 25

Gary's MTX level today was .46. His CR 4.1... Still no word on when they will start next treatment or if he will be able to go home. He has been out most of the day because of the drug they give him for nausea. He is tired of being poked and prodded but still teasing the nurses and giving us something to laugh at.... like earlier today, he fell asleep still holding the remote out toward the TV. This past year, I have listened to a song by MERCY ME entitled BRING THE RAIN. I love the fact that as a Child of God, nothing that comes my way or how I choose to handle it, will change who I AM in Christ. I am not saying that I have not questioned God this year. I have told God many times "You know my heart Lord. I do trust You, but right now I just don't understand why You would have Gary go through all this pain and suffering." This song is a reminder that nothing we will ever go through, compares to the pain and suffering Christ went through for us. I want to praise God through the joyful times and the sad times. If you get the chance to listen to this song, it will be a blessing to you.

BRING THE RAIN
I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
