JANUARY 5

Gary has spent most of the weekend sleeping. I guess he is catching up after weeks of no sleep due to the pain. His pain levels are controllable and all in all, he feels well. A few days ago, a dear friend wrote an email to encourage Gary and asked me to look up Ephesians 3:14-21 to read to Gary. What wonderful promises God's Word holds for us! God is able to do "exceedingly, abundantly above ALL that we ask or think". This has always been a favorite verse of mine because it is a promise that God will bless far more than we ask or even think!

"For this cause, I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."

  3. Gary,
    Just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you 24-7 at our church, South Side Baptist in Springfield, MO.
    We are expecting nothing less than a full recovery...And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
