Today we came back at the hospital for Gary to do blood work. He was told to do it twice this week, then he would see his doctor on Oct. 14th. When he awoke this morning, he said he had been short of breath through the night, so we stopped in at his doctors' office after getting the blood work done to ask them if they should check his blood oxygen levels. To make a long story short, there had been a miscommunication between the hospital and the doctors' scheduling nurse. He wanted to see Gary in a week, instead of two weeks as they told us. So now, he is scheduled to see the doctor on Wednesday of this week and more than likely go into the hospital for the second treatment. Gary is doing fine, except for a few days of fatigue. He wore himself out last week, making his hospital visits, so had to slow down. The place we have been staying is nice and we have been so thankful to have it, but we have made the decision to find our own place. There was not a room for Sandra and it was for short term stay and not for the period of time we need to be here. We will be having family visiting us as well, so good to have a place for them. God has blessed us with finding a place that is less than 5 min. from the hospital. It has a shuttle service which will be nice for me when the weather is bad and also save money on the downtown parking. We will also have internet so I will be able to keep the blog up to date. We have had so many people from all over the world write to say they are reading it. Words just can't express how much we appreciate everyone's prayers! We are still in shock and some days it is hard to get our mind wrapped around it, but we just keep reminding ourselves to take it one day at a time. Your words of encouragement help us so much! Thank you!
So glad to hear from you!!! Thank you for the update! Praying for you!

Just wanted to let you all know that we are praying for you all. We have been through this with Hillary and we are now 16 years off treatment! God is so good and I know that before long you will be on the other side of this battle and telling others of his goodness and encouraging them to hang on. Keep up the fight! Lou Ann & Andy Amstutz
