KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ

There was a little excitement around town this weekend. King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz was getting a check up at Mayo Clinic. He arrived with an entourage of 800, flying in on two 747's, and occupied two whole floors of the Kahler Grand Hotel . The royal family and personnel spent the weekend dining and shopping in Rochester, estimating to have spent millions of dollars.

I told Gary that King Abdullah
may be able to arrive with 800 family and staff,
but Gary has thousands around
the world praying for him!

  4. I'm just getting caught up on your blogs. This was a good one. Reminds me of the old story of the retiring missionaries returning home after years on the field. Some celebrity was on their voyage and they were met by a big crowd and press coverage. After a lonely trek to the hotel where they were staying, he was discouraged about the disparity between the two homecomings. (If I remember the story right - you probably know it) His wife reminded him that they weren't HOME yet - they were still pilgrims. but they were promised a homecoming more wonderful that the celebrity ever thought about. Like you said, you guys, even as pilgrims in a strange land, have the most precious things - the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the care and prayer of the saints around the world. Not because you're rich and can do something for us - but because you're part of the greatest, most royal Family of all - and our Abba cares for His own.

  5. ms. jeannie,
cor.1:9 comes to my mind when i read your comment about that king who visited Mayo Clinic."no eye has seen, no ear has heard,no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit." you are absolutely right, thousands, if not million are praying for Gary's healing and recovery. you dont even know me mam but i am praying for your husband because you and Gary are God's "warriors" in our country, the Philippines. rejoice and be glad, your husband is in God's hands! PTL.

    blessings,
