OCTOBER 8

Gary saw his oncologist today and 30 min. later was checked into the hospital to start his second treatment. His creatinine levels were down, but not where they should be, so they will lower his dose of methotrexate 50%. They hope by doing this, it will not affect his kidneys like before. This is a real concern since he did have renal failure with the first treatment. Yesterday, we moved into our apartment. It is nice to have our own place, we just don't have furniture. ha! We bought a bed and a sofa for now and will try to get other things later as we go. Gary's parents arrived in town today. They will stay while he is getting this treatment. They brought with them many cards from people in the Philippines sending their love and encouragement to Gary and I. We had so much fun reading them all. God has truly blessed us with many friends!
